Eric’s work with Mission: AstroAccess since 2021 has profoundly expanded his ability to make space accessible to all. He has been fortunate enough to be on the leadership team, as well as have been selected as an Ambassador for flights AA1 and AA2. Learn more about AstroAccess here.

Advancing the space industry

Eric founded SCOUT Space Inc. in early 2019 to make space safer by developing capabilities to see things in space from space, to better enable things like Space Traffic Management and Space Domain Awareness. Learn more about SCOUT here.

Eric has served on the Board of Directors of the Space Frontier Foundation since 2020. SFF works to ensure humanity becomes a space-faring civilization through the efforts of the commercial space industry. Learn more about the SFF here.

Eric was appointed to NOAA’s Advisory Committee on Commercial Remote Sensing (ACCRES) in 2022. ACCRES provides industry input to the office in NOAA that regulates remote sensing in space.

Eric has supported Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) since 2011, as a student, chapter founder, national board member, and proud alumni. Learn more about SEDS here.

Eric has extensive space industry regulatory experience from previously working at the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST), where he led several licensing teams, rulemaking teams, and served as AST’s subject matter expert for ground safety.

disability advocacy

Eric currently serves on the Board of 2gether-International, a nonprofit providing resources and accelerator programs for entrepreneurs with disabilities. His company participated in their very first accelerator program in 2020. Learn more about 2GI here.

Eric frequently gives public talks on how disability needs to be included in the DEI conversations we’re having across many industries. Diversity is an issue of upmost importance, but we need to make sure all are included in that discussion.

Eric has been involved with adaptive sports nearly his entire life, primarily with Wheelchair Rugby. He has been competing on club teams around the country since 2005, served two stints on the US Developmental team from 2009-2011 and 2013-2015, and had the opportunity to try out for Team USA seven times.

He also served as the President of the United States Wheelchair Rugby Association from 2016-2020, managing the sport domestically, representing the country internationally, and participating on two Team USA selection committees. Learn more about the USWRA here.
